Welcome to Mandarin Immersion Magnet School (MIMS) — where we Live the Values, Master Chinese, and EXCEL!

It is my great honor and privilege to serve as the proud principal of this exceptional learning community. At MIMS, we are committed to academic excellence, cultural fluency, and character development. As an A-rated school, we are proud of our high achievement and the dedication of our incredible students, talented teachers, and deeply supportive families.

Our unique Mandarin immersion program is designed to build biliteracy from the earliest grades. In elementary, students learn the core subjects of math and science entirely in Mandarin, developing both academic understanding and language proficiency side by side. 

Our middle school program offers the best of both worlds - a rigorous academic experience with the personal connection of a small school setting.   Students can benefit from advanced courses in math, science, and Mandarin Chinese, while also having opportunities to lead, explore, and grow in ways that might be harder to find in larger, comprehensive middle schools. At MIMS, every student is known, supported, and challenged.

We believe in empowering our students to become confident, compassionate, and globally-minded leaders.  I am truly humbled to be a part of this school community, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish together.
